Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the CTS group to be the primary technical contact at customer sites, supporting filling lines, labeling, and automation. The role blends hands-on work with office duties and collaboration with Sales, Plant Quality and Product Development.

You will lead preventative maintenance, repairs, and root-cause analyses on both customer-owned and Amcor-owned equipment, and train customers while documenting visits to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• A degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred.
• 2-5 years of education or related work experience required.
• Travel requirements 75%.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• General working knowledge of electrical systems required.
• Prior mechanical experience with filling lines and equipment preferred.
• Experience in plastics industry desired.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Independent with customers, plants and corporate groups; data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Represent Amcor at customer locations, performing preventative maintenance on filling equipment and line systems.
• Lead assembly and preventive maintenance of Amcor-owned equipment.
• Investigate condition of customer-owned equipment and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Communicate opportunities to plant/corporate levels with data and reports.
• Support field trials of Amcor packaging.
• Train customers on proper product use and testing methods.
