Job summary

Becton Dickinson is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to deliver remote and on-site technical support for BD automated dispensing systems across the assigned region. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain proprietary hardware and software while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer relationships.

The role is field-based with daily travel within the territory; a company vehicle is provided. Overnight travel up to 25% may be required, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years Field Service experience required.
• 1–3 years hardware, software, and IT support experience with proprietary and standard applications.
• Ability to access Federal Government facilities (CAC eligibility) as required.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for BD automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software components with full ownership.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to senior staff as needed.
• Support government accounts requiring CAC eligibility.
