Job summary

BD is hiring a Field Service Engineer 1 to support automated dispensing systems across the territory. This field-based role includes daily customer visits, up to 80% overnight travel, and a company vehicle.

Candidates must have 1–3 years of hardware, software, and IT support experience and the ability to obtain access to government facilities. You will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain equipment, document activities, and collaborate with Sales and Implementation teams to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• 24×7 on‑call service experience preferred.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to disassemble/reassemble complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders within service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components with full case ownership.
• Independently troubleshoot complex issues and elevate to Senior or Lead FSEs as needed.
• Support government accounts requiring eligibility for a CAC (Common Access Card).
• Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Perform installations, in-servicing, repairs, calibrations, and general technical support.
• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts in accordance with company policy.
