Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to provide remote and on-site support for Automated Dispensing Systems across the assigned region, including DoD and DHA facilities. The role requires daily travel to customer locations with a company vehicle provided and up to 25% overnight travel.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installations, and accurate documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Eligibility for Federal facilities access (DoD, DHA, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving skills.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.
• Ability to travel as required and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software components with ownership.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to Senior/Lead FSEs as needed.
• Support government accounts for CAC eligibility.
• Execute preventive maintenance to ensure system uptime.
• Perform installations, in-servicing, repairs, calibrations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts per policy.
• Document service activities and expenses accurately.
