Job summary

BD offers a Field Service Engineer role supporting the Pyxis automated dispensing systems in the San Diego area. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware and software, while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer relationships.

The role requires on-site visits, remote support, and up to 25% travel, with a company vehicle provided. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of field service/IT support experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of hardware/software/IT support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work both remotely and on-site with CAC eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, prioritize, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software components and escalate as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installations, and calibrations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of service activities.
