Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in hospitals within the designated region, including remote and on-site service.

Ideal candidates will reside within 30 miles of the base location; a company vehicle is provided, and 50% travel is required, with overnight travel possible. candidates must have 3-5 years hardware/software experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3–5 years of related work experience in Healthcare Tech or a technical field.
• 3–5 years combined Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues; log and track all work order activity.
• Implement preventive maintenance and support Sales/Implementation teams as applicable.
• Demonstrate competency in solving hardware and software problems and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain proper inventory controls and company assets; ensure timely field activity documentation.
• Continue training to advance to the next level in 2–3 years and participate in required seminars.
• Work both independently and in a team, escalating to leadership when needed.
