Job summary

BD in San Diego seeks a Field Service Engineer to support Pyxis dispensing devices at healthcare facilities across the territory. You’ll troubleshoot, install, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance, with a company vehicle and occasional overnight travel.

Requires an Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or 5–7 years’ equivalent experience, CompTIA A+ and Customer Support Certifications, plus strong Windows OS and networking skills. Must be able to lift 70 pounds and work 24x7 on-call.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience in healthcare tech or related field.
Must have CompTIA A+ and Customer Support certifications.
Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS, networking, and medical/electromechanical device service.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote service for BD Pyxis systems, troubleshooting and repair.
Perform preventive maintenance, installations, calibrations, and customer training.
Manage service work orders with documentation and escalation as needed.
Maintain inventory and secure company assets such as vehicles and tools.
Commit to ongoing professional development and regulatory compliance.
