Job summary

BD is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to service instrumentation in regulated healthcare environments. You will travel up to 50% to customer sites, perform installation, validate performance, and ensure documentation complies with GMP/ISO standards.

Strong troubleshooting, safety focus, and customer-facing skills are essential. The role requires an electronics/engineering background, readiness for in-person collaboration, and proficiency with MS Office for service reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Technical military training or related certification is a plus.
• Associates or Bachelors in Electronics/Engineering or related field required.
• Experience as Field Service Engineer or repairing medical device instruments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO and GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service by contacting customers after service.
• Ensure service meets customer needs and documentation is complete.
• Maintain car stock, test equipment, and technical data.
• Report quality control issues to Service Center and engineering manager.
• Travel and field visits within travel policy guidelines.
• Promote BD standards of quality service in customer interactions.
