Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation in regulated environments, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and on-site collaboration. The role requires extensive travel, rigorous adherence to GMP/ISO standards, and proficient use of diagnostic tools.

Candidates should have a technical electronics background, a valid driver’s license, and experience in servicing medical devices.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license.
Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
Experience fixing medical device instruments and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO and GMP standards.
Perform follow-up calls to customers after service.
Ensure service was complete and satisfactory for customers.
Maintain car stock, test equipment, and technical data.
Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
Maintain travel expense within policy guidelines.
Report quality issues to Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager.
Use company vehicle per fleet policy and coordinate with departments to resolve problems.
Represent BD by upholding high standards of service and professionalism.
