Job summary

BD Life Sciences is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and maintain BD LifeSiences equipment at customer sites in clinical and research labs. You will repair instruments, perform preventive maintenance and ensure high-quality service with minimal supervision.

The role requires strong problem-solving, team's collaboration and willingness to work different shifts, including on-call nights and weekends when needed. On-site presence is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or Biomed preferred.
• Equivalent Military training preferred.
• Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for reports and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide service, preventive maintenance, modifications and installations of BD LifeSiences equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot system failures and perform on-site repairs with timely and effective resolutions.
• Manage company assets including mobile devices, tablets and tools.
• Establish and foster positive relationships with customers and peers.
• Record time worked, training and expenses; perform related administrative duties.
• Provide ongoing feedback to customers on instrument repair status.
• Interface with Technical Support to deliver high-level customer service.
• Coordinate with district leads and dispatch to support the customer base.
