Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision in regulated environments. You will maintain inventory, document service activities, and report issues while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with GMP standards.

Expect up to 50% travel, strong MS Office skills, and prior field service experience with medical devices. On-site work is standard with potential for field visits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.
• Technical military training.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Previous customer interfacing role.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Experience with tools and test equipment such as digital volt meters and oscilloscopes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO and GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service by calling customers after service.
• Ensure service was complete and satisfactory to customers' needs.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Maintain travel expenses within guidelines.
• Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center and Manager.
• Interface with other departments to resolve customer issues.
• Promote BD standards of outstanding quality service.
