Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation in regulated environments, primarily in the Fredericksburg, VA area, servicing MD, VA, WV, and DC.

The role requires a minimum of a high school diploma, 3 years of instrument troubleshooting experience, a valid driver’s license, and up to 50% travel. Strong customer relations and on-site collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience troubleshooting instruments or components.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimum direct supervision, as requested, by the Service Center in accordance with current ISO and GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service by calling customers who have recently been provided service.
• Ensure service was complete and satisfactory to the customers’ needs.
• Accurately maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data.
• Complete service documentation, as required, by the position function or requested by System Support Engineering Manager in accordance with current GMP requirements.
