Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, maintain and implement field corrective actions for Life Science equipment at customer sites in the clinical and research laboratories. You will be the face of BD to customers, building strong relationships and delivering high-quality service.

The role requires mechanical or electrical background, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently or on a team, with flexibility for shifts, on-call, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate degree preferred in electrical/mechanical or Biomed fields.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Must interface with customers, peers and support personnel positively and think logically.
• Willingness to work different shifts, on-call, nights and weekends as needed.
• Valid driving license with good driving record over last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide service, preventive maintenance, modifications and installations of BD LifeSiences equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot system failures and perform on-site repairs; ensure timely, effective fixes.
• Manage company assets including cell phone, computer, tablet, tools, and inventory parts.
• Establish and foster positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Record time worked, training, expenses, and other administrative duties.
