Job summary

Waters seeks a skilled Field Service Engineer to install and service analytical instrumentation across the Philadelphia area, Upstate New York, New Jersey and the New York City metro region. You will perform service with minimal supervision while upholding ISO and GMP standards.

You will travel approximately 60% with 1–2 overnight stays weekly, maintain inventory and documents, and ensure high-quality customer support in a fast-paced life sciences setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Previous customer interfacing role.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Mac and PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimum direct supervision per ISO and GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service by contacting customers recently serviced.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools and data.
• Complete service documentation as required by the position or manager.
• Maintain expense levels for field travel and site visits.
• Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center and Manager.
• Interface with departments to resolve customer problems.
• Promote and maintain BD standards of quality service.
• Travel about 60% with 1-2 overnight stays per week.
