Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation across the Philadelphia, Upstate NY, NJ, and NY Metro Area. The role requires travel, customer interaction, and strong technical skills to ensure high-quality service aligned with GMP standards.

You will maintain equipment, complete documentation, and support BD’s commitment to excellence in healthcare technology while working from BD facilities and customer sites in the Northeast.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years fixing instruments or components.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Prior field service engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Customer interfacing experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiar with Mac and PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO and GMP.
• Provide follow-up service to customers recently serviced.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, and tools.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Maintain travel expense within guidelines.
• Report quality control and technical problems to Service Center.
