Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Philadelphia, Upstate New York, New Jersey, and New York Metro area. You will install and service high-tech instrumentation, perform follow-up calls, and maintain documentation in a regulated environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of field service experience on medical devices, strong customer interfacing skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Expect significant travel and a dynamic, collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years’ experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Previous customer interfacing role.
• MS Office (Word/Excel) proficiency.
• Familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Provide follow-up service by contacting customers.
• Maintain inventory, test equipment, tools and data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Keep travel expenses within guidelines.
• Report quality control and other issues to Service Center.
• Maintain and utilize company vehicle per fleet policy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues.
• Support BD-standard customer service.
• Manage company credit cards and travel advances.
• Represent BD with professional appearance and conduct.
• Travel 60% with 1–2 overnight stays per week.
