Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation across a multi-state territory including Philadelphia, Upstate NY, NJ and NY Metro. The role requires 60% travel, minimal supervision, and adherence to ISO and GMP standards.

You will maintain equipment, complete documentation, and support customers with BD's high-quality service ethos. Ideal candidates have 3+ years fixing instruments, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 3 years’ experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience with medical device instruments preferred.
• Customer interfacing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO/GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service to customers after service.
• Maintain car stock, test equipment, and technical data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Keep travel within established expense guidelines.
• Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center/Manager.
• Maintain company vehicle per fleet policy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues.
