Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced life science instrumentation at customer sites. You will ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction with cutting-edge technologies.

The role requires 3–5 years of field service experience in life sciences, strong electromechanical and optical repair skills, and excellent communication. Travel is extensive, with on-site work as a primary arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of field service experience in life sciences/medical devices.
• Strong troubleshooting of electromechanical and optical systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs of laboratory instruments.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently using schematics, diagnostic tools, and manuals.
• Provide training to customers on operation and basic maintenance of installed equipment.
• Maintain service records including installation reports and logs in CRM.
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for repairs.
• Collaborate with sales, technical support and R&D to feedback on product performance.
• Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines (FDA, GMP).
• Travel extensively to customer sites within a designated region.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary technical contact.
