Job summary

BD is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service advanced diagnostic instruments across an assigned territory, with national opportunities. The role requires home-office travel, on-call rotation, and strong electronics/mechatronics skills.

Location-specific duties include installations, upgrades, and repairs, with a 10:00am–7:00pm schedule and a Burlington, NC area focus. A Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years experience, plus a valid driver’s license, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 10+ years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with 3+ years history.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and on-call as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a lab/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade and repair BD instruments to meet specifications.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and moves.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans.
• Schedule and complete system upgrades with customers.
• Document all customer interactions in records systems.
