Job summary

Waters invites applications for an Automation Servicer Engineer responsible for servicing BD instruments in a major life sciences territory. The role requires remote work ability with periodic travel, including overnight stays, and strong troubleshooting in high-volume environments.

The candidate will install, maintain and upgrade complex analytical systems, collaborating with customers to ensure instruments meet specifications and providing timely follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience with electronics, electro-mechanical devices (Mechatronics), PLCs, and pneumatics.
• Intermediate knowledge of information systems networking architecture and setup.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and be on call as needed to meet business demands.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair BD instruments to meet specifications.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans to customers.
• Schedule and execute system upgrades in collaboration with customers.
• Record all customer issues in relevant systems and ensure proper documentation.
