Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments in the Kansas City area and nationwide as needed. You will install, maintain, upgrade and repair systems, travel overnight as required, and work remotely with minimal supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of hands-on experience, with strong electronics, PLCs, networking and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs; a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related field or 10+ years’ troubleshooting experience.
Strong understanding of electronics, mechatronics, PLCs and pneumatics.
Experience with information systems networking and software upgrades.
Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 50% and be on call as needed.
Ability to lift up to 30–40 lb, endure long shifts, and meet PPE standards.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, upgrade and repair BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments per specifications.
Collaborate with service and support teams to drive field revenue through PMs and moves.
Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans to customers.
Schedule and complete system upgrades with customers and document issues in systems of record.
Maintain inventory, vehicle and equipment, and manage expenses within policy.
