Job summary

Medtronic plc seeks a Field Services Engineer to support the Mazor robotic guidance system and O-arm imaging system for spinal and cranial procedures. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with clinical staff to restore functionality in high-stakes environments.

The role covers Southern Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia, requiring travel, hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and strong communication with hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; 4 years technician/clinical field service or clinical customer support experience.
• Preferred: reside in Southern Ohio; Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering, engineering or technology field; prior medical device field service experience.
• Experience with orthopedic anatomy, surgical protocol and medical terminology; ability to troubleshoot with technical skills.
• Familiar with test equipment and reading schematics/engineering drawings; knowledge of FDA 21 CFR CGMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to hospital sites to troubleshoot system issues and perform installations.
• Provide maintenance, repair, and upgrades to Mazor robotic guidance system and O-arm imaging system.
• Diagnose faults at component level and implement fixes with clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate records of service actions and root cause analyses.
