Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking a field service professional to travel to locations in and around the Hebron area. You will install, repair and train customers on electrical and electronic equipment, while documenting all inspections and maintenance in a timely manner.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of field service experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset. Expect travel, potential overtime, and adherence to safety and security policies in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training; 1–3 years in related field service acceptable.
• Minimum of 3 years experience troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.
• Excellent communications skills and strong customer focus; willing to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction.
• Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field; provide customer training as required.
• Document inspections, maintenance and repairs; submit paperwork timely.
• Order, install, and return parts; manage repair parts cycle time.
• Review logs for open issues and prepare reports for customers.
• Participate in service sales opportunities and assist with revenue programs.
• Ensure tools and test equipment are maintained and calibrated.
• Support customers and other service professionals as required.
• May participate in site surveys, pilot programs and meetings.
