Job summary

Smiths Detection in the Omaha area is seeking a Field Service Technician to meet daily service repair needs, install, repair and maintain equipment in the field, and train customers as required.

You will document inspections, maintenance and repair work, participate in service sales opportunities and ensure calibration of tools. Travel to locations around the airport may be required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Trade Certification or military training with equivalent 1–3 years experience.
• Computer literacy; competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software.
• Minimum 1–3 years troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.
• Excellent communications, customer focus and teamwork; able to travel on short notice.

• Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction.
• Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field; provide customer training.
