Job summary

Lam Research in Roseville, CA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site repair, installation, and maintenance of Lam’s semiconductor equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and work closely with customers to ensure optimal performance of installed base assets.

The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work in a clean-room environment while wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field; 2+ years of experience, or advanced degree without experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Able to work in a clean room environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services of Lam’s systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, isolate issues to component level, and minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Maintain records and reports coordinating activities between Lam and customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and ensuring satisfaction.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to build trust.
