Job summary

Lam Research Corporation seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair, installation and maintenance of complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will analyze issues, troubleshoot to component level, and minimize downtime, while staying current with Lam products through training and certification.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering or related field with 5+ years experience.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals.
• Willingness to travel frequently; able to work in cleanroom environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up of Lam’s complex systems at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot to component level, and minimize downtime.
• Keep current on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Assist in field modifications, maintain records and coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively with customers; develop action plans.
