Job summary

Lam Research in Roseville, CA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site repair, installation, and maintenance for Lam’s semiconductor equipment. You’ll troubleshoot complex systems, interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, and ensure uninterrupted uptime for customers.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in Electronics/Engineering with 2+ years' experience, are willing to travel, and can work in cleanrooms and PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience; advanced degree without experience or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing PPE.
• Frequently position oneself (bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) for extended periods.
• Able to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, based on customer needs; flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, and on-call if needed.
• Graduate eligible role.
• This position will be ONSITE in Roseville, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s systems at customer sites.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics; isolate issues to component level and act to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
• Maintain records and reports coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
• Update customer on status of Lam tools as needed.
