Job summary

Lam Research in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain Lam's complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will travel domestically and internationally as needed and work onsite with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will analyze issues, perform repairs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to minimize downtime while keeping thorough records and continuing training to stay current with Lam

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; on-site role in Fort Collins, CO.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment with safety equipment.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate issues to component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Keep up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning and certification.
• Maintain records and reports coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
• Provide updates on status of Lam tools as needed.
