Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Service Engineer Level 2 to support customers in the Michigan, Northern Ohio and Indiana region. This role requires installing, servicing, and maintaining complex automated electromechanical systems in customer sites.

You will diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, and ensure timely PMs for contract customers. Qualified candidates have a 4-year degree or technical certificate, 3+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
English language proficiency is preferred; German is a plus.
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Provide installation services for new equipment with attention to detail and a professional hand-off to customers.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on equipment to enable same-visit repairs.
Complete PMs for contract customers within required timeframes and documentations.
Escalate unresolved issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and rapid resolution.
Educate customers on upgrades and accessories to extend equipment capabilities.
