Zusammenfassung

ZEISS is seeking a Field Service Engineer Level 2 to support customers in Michigan, Northern Ohio and Indiana. You will install, service, and maintain complex automated electromechanical systems in customer facilities, working with minimal supervision and delivering high-quality service.

The role requires robust troubleshooting skills, strong communication with customers, and the ability to travel domestically up to 50–70%.

Qualifikationen

• 4-year degree or technical certificate in technical/scientific discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems in software, electronics, optics and electron optics, high voltage and vacuum systems.
• Ability to read electrical or mechanical engineering docs and schematics.

Aufgaben

• Install and service new equipment with high attention to detail and proper hand-off to customers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on assigned equipment to enable same-visit repairs.
• Complete PMs for contract customers within required timelines.
• Prepare billable quotations within 24 hours as requested.
• Escalate unresolved issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on upgrades and accessories for equipment.
