Job summary

Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer Level 2 to install, service, and maintain complex automated electromechanical systems for customers in Michigan, Northern Ohio, and Indiana. The role demands independent troubleshooting, timely PMs, and effective communication with clients.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on technical experience, a 4-year degree or technical certificate, and solid knowledge of Windows, CRM tools, and schematic documentation.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or technical certificate or equivalent combination including military electronics experience.
• 3+ years direct experience building, maintaining, installing, and/or repairing complex automated electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of Windows operating environments and basic office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation services for new equipment with high attention to system performance and professional hand-off to customers.
• Independently troubleshoot and diagnose issues on assigned equipment quickly and accurately to enable repairs in a single visit.
• Complete PMs for contract customers within 90 days of SVO assignment with proper checklists and documentation.
• Educate customers on upgrades and accessories to improve equipment capabilities.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required; communicate effectively with customers and team.
