Job summary

ZEISS Group in Michigan seeks a Level 2 Field Service Engineer to install, service and maintain complex optical/electromechanical systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document work with accuracy.

Travel is required, including domestic and international assignments as needed. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in field service, strong communication, and solid knowledge of Windows environments and CRM tools, with a valid US driver license and ability

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or technical certificate in technical/scientific discipline or equivalent.
• Experience in building, maintaining, installing or repairing automated electromechanical systems.
• Strong communication and time management skills; willing to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain assigned ZEISS equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot issues, diagnose quickly, and escalate when needed for complex faults.
• Provide billable quotations within 24 hours and complete PMs on schedule.
