Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Burlington, VT seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair, maintenance, and start-up services for Lam equipment. You will troubleshoot to the component level, minimize downtime, and stay current via training and certification.

You will coordinate with customers and collaborate with internal teams to ensure reliability and performance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Engineering (or related field) and willingness to travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field or advanced degree with experience.
Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and operation manuals.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally based on customer needs.
Able to work in a clean room environment with PPE as required.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for Lam equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose to component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Stay current on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
Maintain records to coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
Represent Lam to customers, delivering high satisfaction and clear status updates.
Communicate opportunities and challenges with customers to build trust.
