Job summary

Lam Research Austin, TX is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customer installations, maintenance and relocation start-up services for Lam's semiconductor equipment.

You will diagnose issues, perform on-site repairs, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and stay current with Lam tools through training and certification.

Bachelor’s in Electronics or Engineering with 2+ years experience; willingness to travel; able to work in clean room environments; growth opportunities with Lam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals.
• Strong communication skills in English and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services of Lam’s equipment at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, isolate issues to component level, and minimize downtime.
• Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and the customer.
• Stay current on Lam products through learning, training, and certification.
• Act as a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and deliver exceptional service.
