Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on Carl Zeiss Meditec instruments in a field service territory. This role involves travel to customer locations, maintaining company property, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

You will diagnose and repair products, schedule visits, submit service reports, manage inventory, and support service revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within service territory, including maintenance, installations and upgrades per training and guidelines.
• Schedule and verify customer visits, assess needs and potential financial impact.
• Submit field service reports daily and expense reports weekly.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and return parts per policy.
• Support revenue growth through service agreements promotion and retention.
• Interface with customers professionally and provide maintenance instruction as needed.
