Job summary

ZEISS Group seeks a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and maintain Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a defined field service territory in Illinois. You will represent ZEISS at customer locations, ensure high satisfaction, manage spare parts and tools, and uphold company policies across inventory, reports and travel logistics.

Role requires three years in Electronics/Optics/Medical Field Service, a BS in related fields, and certifications like A+ and Net+.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology or related fields preferred.
A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
Ability to think through difficult customer issues and generate satisfactory results.
Strong computer skills and training for equipment service.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on specified Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in field service territory.
Represent Zeiss Meditec at customer locations and achieve high customer satisfaction.
Maintain company property and inventory, including tools, diagnostic equipment and vehicle.
Schedule and verify visits, submit field service reports and expense reports.
Support revenue growth through promotion and retention of service agreements.
Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of equipment; install/maintain equipment at trade shows.
