Job summary

ZEISS Meditec Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and maintain specified Zeiss instrumentation in the designated field territory within the Midwest.

You will represent ZEISS at customer locations and strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction while safeguarding all company assets, tools, and vehicles. The role requires at least 3 years in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service, a BS in a related field, and preferred A+/Net+

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per training and Zeiss Meditec guidelines.
• Schedule, create, verify and modify customer visits, assessing needs and potential financial impact to the practice and patient well-being.
• Complete and submit a field service report daily following procedures in the Field Service reference database.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and handle company assets per policy.
• Support revenue growth through promotion and retention of service agreements.
• Interface with customers professionally and maintain equipment and tools.
