Job summary

ZEISS Group in Illinois is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a designated field service territory. You will represent ZEISS at customer sites and ensure high customer satisfaction while safeguarding company property.

The role requires 3+ years in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service; BS preferred; A+ and Net+ preferred; strong communication and computer skills;

Qualifications

• Three years of field service experience in electronics, mechanics, optics or medical field service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Self-directed with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within a service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades.
• Schedule and verify customer visits, assessing needs and impact.
• Submit field service reports daily and expense reports weekly.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and support service revenue through agreements.
• Interface with customers professionally and maintain equipment and tools.
