Job summary

ZEISS Meditec Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade, and maintain Zeiss instrumentation within a defined field service territory.

Represent the company at customer locations with a focus on satisfaction and proper handling of all company assets. The role requires 3+ years in electronics or related fields, a BS in electronics/engineering and preferred A+/Net+ certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of related experience in electronics, fine mechanics, optics or medical field service.
• BS in electronics, engineering, or computer technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per training and Zeiss guidelines.
• Schedule, verify and modify customer visits by assessing customer needs and impact to practice and patient wellbeing.
• Submit field service report daily per procedures in the Field Service reference database.
• Submit weekly expense reports per policies.
• Maintain spare parts inventory per guidelines and return parts as designated by policy.
• Support revenue growth through promotion and retention of service agreements.
• Interface with customers in a professional, calm demeanor.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of equipment when required.
