Job summary

Carl Zeiss Meditec USA, Inc. seeks a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade, and maintain ZEISS instrumentation in a designated Midwest service territory, primarily Illinois. You’ll represent the company at customer sites and ensure high satisfaction while managing company assets and reporting daily.

The role requires 3+ years in Electronics/Optics and may include travel within the Midwest. A company car is provided along with standard benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology and related fields preferred.
A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
Good verbal and written communication, self-direction, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventive maintenance, installations and upgrades.
Schedule and verify customer visits, assess needs and potential financial impact to the practice.
Submit field service reports daily and weekly expense reports in accordance with policy.
Maintain spare parts inventory and support revenue growth through service agreements.
Interface professionally with customers and, when required, instruct on operation and maintenance of equipment.
