Job summary

ZEISS Meditec Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on designated Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a field service territory.

The position requires extensive travel, including international opportunities for training, and demands strong communication, independence, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds while driving several hours daily.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot difficult customer issues and achieve satisfactory results.
• Self-directed with ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have good computer skills and pass required training for optics servicing.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally for training and support.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and drive ~4 hours/day.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, upgrade and perform preventative maintenance on specified Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a field service territory.
• Represent ZEISS Meditec at customer locations and maintain high customer satisfaction; manage company property including inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain a high level of professional communication with the team, customers, management, Sales and Technical Support.
