Job summary

RoviSys is seeking a Service Engineer or Specialist to provide service and support to customers, maintaining SLAs and leading service efforts both independently and with teams. The role emphasizes hardware/software troubleshooting, instrumentation design support, and on-site system startup and commissioning across multiple control platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in approved mechanical, electrical or similar engineering degree track or equivalent industry experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in customer environments.
• Experience with multiple controls platforms as listed in the qualification section.
• Knowledge of Kepware OPC, ThinManager, VMware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and software updates of control systems.
• Identify and address system malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Implement system upgrades to improve efficiency and performance.
• Monitor service channels and track KPIs to identify issues.
• Respond to incidents to maintain SLAs.
• Create instrument lists from P&ID drawings.
• Assemble development systems with project hardware and computers.
• Configure UI and HMI screens; program DDC/PLC/DCS control algorithms.
• Draft system documentation from templates.
• Assist with customer demonstrations and acceptance testing.
• Install project software on site and perform commissioning tests.
• Troubleshoot installation discrepancies and calibrations.
