Job summary

RoviSys Building Technologies is seeking a Service Engineer/Specialist to deliver service and support to customers, including system maintenance, upgrades, and testing. The role involves design, startup, and on-site work with travel to customer facilities as needed.

A strong electrical/mechanical background with hands-on controls experience is essential. The position emphasizes customer interaction, incident response, and collaboration with technical teams to uphold SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or similar engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in customer environments.
• Experience with one or more controls platforms listed.
• Knowledge of Kepware OPC server, ThinManager, and VMware is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and software updates of control systems.
• Identify and address system malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.
• Monitor service channels (phone, email, chat, ticketing) and track KPIs.
• Respond promptly to incidents to maintain SLAs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve critical incidents quickly.
• Create instrument lists from P&ID drawings; prepare submittal documentation.
• Configure DDC/PLC/DCS control algorithms and HMIs.
• Assist with commissioning tests and customer demonstrations.
• Travel to customer facilities for maintenance, testing, and installation.
