Job summary

BD is hiring a Field Service Engineer 1 to provide remote and on-site support for automated dispensing systems, including DHA/DoD facilities, and to perform preventive maintenance, installations, calibrations, and repairs. The role requires 1–3 years of hardware/software support experience, strong communication, and travel as needed.

Primary work locations are USA CA with 2nd shift hours (4pm-12am) and on-site collaboration as part of a dynamic healthcare technology team.

Qualifications

1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience with both proprietary and standard applications.
Proficiency with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments.
CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems and DHA/DoD facilities.
Respond to, evaluate, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
Diagnose and repair hardware and software components with full case ownership.
Perform preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and calibrations.
Maintain accurate inventory and vehicle/equipment records.
Document service activities, expenses, and time logs.
Support deployments and customer experience with Sales/Implementation teams.
Follow MDR and service procedures and company quality standards.
