Job summary

BD in San Diego seeks a Field Service Engineer I to provide remote and on-site support for automated dispensing systems across the DoD/DHA facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain proprietary hardware and software while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong customer relationships.

The role is field-based with daily travel within the territory; a company vehicle is provided. Overnight travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years of Field Service/Technical Support experience.
• 1–3 years of hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Ability to obtain access to Federal Government Facilities including DoD.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% overnight.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel by car/air.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, evaluate, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software components with full ownership.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to senior leads as needed.
• Support government accounts requiring CAC eligibility.
