Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across the California region, including DoD/DHA facilities. This field-based role requires travel within the assigned territory, and potential overnight stays; punctual, customer-focused problem solving is essential.

Responsibilities include remote and on-site technical support, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and strong adherence to regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Experience with both remote and on-site technical support.
• Ability to obtain CAC and access government facilities.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software components with full case ownership.
• Independently troubleshoot complex issues and escalate when needed.
• Support government accounts requiring CAC eligibility.
