Job summary

ProteinSimple, part of Bio-Techne, is seeking a Sales Specialist for the Western & Cellular Analysis team to sell Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments and related systems in the Boston/Cambridge area. This field-based role includes a commission plan and stock grants based on performance.

You will drive consultative selling, manage key accounts, forecast sales, and collaborate with the Commercial Team to promote Bio-Techne solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• 5+ years of sales experience in the life science tools space, with at least 2 years in a related market.
• High-value capital equipment sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets through consultative selling methods.
• Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
• Collaborate with the full Commercial Team to provide a coordinated customer approach and promote all Bio‑Techne solutions.
• Field sales within the assigned territory, visiting customers 75% of the time.
• Apply knowledge of standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents and equipment relevant to Bio‑Techne’s product line.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents in the Immunoassay Product Lines.
• Use SalesForce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; use dashboards to track progress and KPIs.
• Plan and execute account management to achieve goals and follow company vision.
• Ensure customers understand the value proposition, features, benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of relevant products.
