Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Trades Specialist for a remote/field-based role within our Commercial Construction field sales team. You will drive growth by selling DEWALT and related brands to end-user customers and build strategic partnerships across trade channels.

The position requires 3+ years in construction sales, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and travel up to 50%. Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office is expected, with a competitive compensation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; construction field experience could substitute for higher education
3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results and experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors preferred
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results
Valid Driver’s License and travel up to 50% within territory
Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

Responsibilities

Achieve top-line sales targets within Columbus territory
Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners
Teach and mentor local market team on End User development and purchasing processes
Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives
Maintain and use Salesforce.com as a CRM and Planning tool
