Job summary

NEFCO is seeking an energetic outside sales professional to develop and manage both established and new customers, selling products and services to commercial construction sites and contractor offices in the Portland, Maine area. The role requires daily travel, building strong customer relationships, and coordinating with inside sales to quote and service accounts.

Degree preferred; 1–2 years in construction supply sales is a plus; valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction supply sales is preferred.
• Degree preferred or industry experience may substitute.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel to commercial jobsites and contractor offices in the assigned territory.
• Manage customer relationships and service; assist with quotes/orders.
• Introduce new products and coordinate with Vendor Reps and NEFCO management.
• Use NEFCO CRM to record activities and support sales follow-up.
• Attend sales meetings and product training sessions.
