Construction Field Sales Specialist

Job summary

NEFCO is seeking an outside sales professional to grow and manage both existing and new customers in the Canton, MA area. You will sell products and services to commercial construction sites and contractor offices, while meeting sales and profitability goals.

The role requires daily travel in the assigned territory, strong relationship-building with customers, and coordination with inside sales for quotes and orders. A valid driver’s license and construction sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient with NEFCO CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Goal-oriented with integrity and urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and time management.
• Organized with good time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license; background check required.
• Degree preferred; industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 1–2 years of construction supply sales experience.
• Outside sales experience with mechanical or electrical contractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily within assigned territory to commercial construction jobsites and contractor offices.
• Represent NEFCO professionally with customers and prospects in your territory.
• Own customer relationships and provide day-to-day service and occasional deliveries.
• Make regular, quality sales calls to customers and prospects.
• Introduce new products and conduct joint calls with Vendor Reps and NEFCO Sales Management.
• Assist inside sales during the quote/order process.
• Develop strong working relationships with the inside sales team.
• Follow up on quotes generated by inside sales with urgency.
• Consult with Sales Management on large quote opportunities.
• Share competitive information to improve quoting activity.
